Not a Ton Of Job Openings

A big downside of this language is the lack of jobs, this somewhat ties in with the previous statement as well. Here’s the thing, when a language is new/growing it’s community, this can cause some issues with the job sector of that language, if you want to find a programming language that has a ton of jobs surrounding it right now, this is probably not the best language for that.

Community Fading Away

One of the biggest issues facing Scala right now is the community, specifically people using this language.
