Why you shouldn’t use Julia
Welcome back! Julia is a very interesting programming language, I’ve personally seen several awesome projects built out with this language, I even wrote this article talking about how Julia is the best programming language:
Now let’s be a bit critical, let’s talk about why you shouldn’t use Julia. Now, I personally do think you should learn this language, but it’s always important to see both sides of a language.
Newer / Smaller Community
One of the bigger problems with Julia is its infancy, it first appeared in 2012, just 9 years ago, what is the problem with this? Nothing at first, but compared to other languages (R, Python, MATLAB), this one hasn’t been around as long as others, this can lead to less development with this language, as well as a smaller community (since it’s still fairly new).
