Why I dislike MATLAB in 2022

Welcome back! MATLAB is a very interesting language, I have used this language for a few projects back in the day, but this language isn’t really my go-to language anymore. So, let’s take a look at a few reasons why I dislike MATLAB in 2022!

Paid License

Starting off, one of my biggest issues with MATLAB are the licenses associated with this language, now, I understand that this language needs to keep funding in order for it to sustain/get updates, but I also do find other languages somewhat related to MATLAB (like Python) are free to use. On top of this, the licensing structure also was a bit strange, mostly because I had to get a license per machine I had, potentially making the project a bit more costly than originally thought.

Not Open Source

Since MATLAB requires a license, this language is not open source either, what is the problem with this? Well, it could potentially slow down development/updates that could have been added by users of this language, rather…
