Data science is an exploding field with tons of growth opportunities, but software engineering is a very similar field as well, so let’s talk about why data science maybe a better field than software engineering. Newer Field = Potentially More Growth

One of the main advantages of data science is the exploding growth this field has been experiencing, it seems everywhere I go I here things about “big data” or “machine learning”, this is mostly due to the advancements in AI and ML. Software engineering also has been growing, but this role has been around for a very long time, so growth is a little bit more linear than data science. Recently, theres also been a huge growth in startup companies focusing around data science, whether their focused around machine learning, data processing or data extraction, a majority of these companies help other companies make data driven decisions, so getting into this field early can help you later on in your career.
