This is what Microsoft uses Go (Golang) for

Welcome back! Go (or Golang) is a fairly popular programming language that seems to be growing by the day, so let’s see how Microsoft uses this fairly new programming language. Fun fact that you may not know, Google were the ones who actually developed this language. The process of me finding out this information was by going to Microsoft’s career page, looking through relevant positions, and noting the projects Microsoft used Go for:

Cloud Engineering

First off we have cloud engineering, this is one of the most popular programming related jobs right now. Microsoft uses Go (in conjunction with the Azure Cloud offerings) to develop clusters, this includes using Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerized solutions. Here are a few positions that required experience with Go:

Next up we have software engineering, Microsoft (much like other companies)…
