Welcome back! Python is an amazing programming language that is perfect for data science, if you’re new to Python, check out the link below to learn more about it:

So, let’s take a look at some awesome graphing packages you can use with Python!

Matplotlib

First up we have Matplotlib, this is one of the most popular graphing packages for Python, I personally use this package for a ton of my graphs. Matplotlib is pretty easy to use as well, here is a basic breakdown of building a bar chart with this package:

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
import numpy as np
plt.style.use('_mpl-gallery')

# make data:
np.random.seed(3)
x = 0.5 + np.arange(8)
y = np.random.uniform(2, 7, len(x))

# plot
fig, ax = plt.subplots()

ax.bar(x, y, width=1, edgecolor="white", linewidth=0.7)

ax.set(xlim=(0, 8), xticks=np.arange(1, 8),
ylim=(0, 8), yticks=np.arange(1, 8))

plt.show()
