Programming Languages You Shouldn’t Learn In 2022
Welcome back! Programming is an amazing skillset to have in 2022, and a very common question I get is “which programming languages are the best to learn?”, and i’ve already made an article about this:
So, let’s talk about which programming languages you shouldn’t learn in 2022!
Perl
First up we have Perl, a general-purpose language that was fairly popular years ago, nowadays it’s definitely not as popular as before, check out the TIOBE index chart below:
I have seen that Perl is still used at some of the biggest companies out there, but if you plan on learning a single language, Perl may not be the best way to go since there’s less interest in this language than ever before. Like I mentioned, there are still positions/projects out there that are focused around this language, but if you’re a new coder, Perl is probably not the best one to start off with.
