OpenAI is spending 100 million dollars to invest in your product
Welcome back! OpenAI has just announced their new startup fund! They are partnering with Microsoft and other partners to allocate 100 million dollars to fund artificial intelligence projects that use their API! Now i’ve heard a few solid opinions about this, on one hand people are happy that there is massive fund that you can apply for, on the other hand people are somewhat upset that you have to use their API:
I’m pretty indifferent about it, but it does seem to be a pretty big point to some.
On the flip side, the application does have a specific button to indicate whether you use their API or not, so does this mean if you don’t use their API you have a lower chance of getting funding?
