Docker Is Very Weird
Welcome back! Docker has been going through some very interesting drama recently, this essentially stemmed from an email that had sent out that stated that if you don’t upgrade to their paid plan (if you’re a business), Docker could take down your project (even open source ones), you can read more about this in the article I wrote a few days ago:
Well, it looks like Docker has responded yet again to this disaster, they have now stated (on March 24) that they plan on completely reversing this decision, they now plan to still allow the same plans as before:
I talked about this in my other article as well (linked above), but I think it’s just a very weird spot for docker to be in, it’s strange they sent out a very poorly worded email like that to their users, then they clarified it a bit more a day later, and a few days after that they have completely reversed their decision on this, personally, I think Docker is very weird for how they approached this…
