Now it’s time to get a bit controversial, let’s talk about 4reasons why you shouldn’t learn R in 2021. First off, I love R, I use it almost on a daily basis, but just like any other programming language it’s not perfect.

Losing Popularity

Starting off, R has slowly been losing a bit of it’s popularity throughout the last several years. Taking a look at the TIOBE Index (which some people do not like) we can see that R has been slowly going down for a little while now:
